Felstead Court Stables is nestled in the very heart of Lambourn, the Valley of the Racehorse. Our facilities include 40 boxes in a layout that maximises our horses' exposure to natural light, fresh air and each other - keeping our athletes healthy and happy. We also have a sandpit and wash-down facilities, turnout paddocks and a covered horse-walker on-site. All of our horses benefit from time out in the paddocks at some point, in compatible social groups where possible, which we believe maximises their contentment and quality of life - happy horses win races!

Our horses also benefit from daily access to the first-class training facilities at Mandown and Kingsdown gallops, managed by Jockey Club Estates (video and further information below).

Based just ten minutes from Junction 14 of the M4, Lambourn is within easy access of London and the home counties, as well as being within two hours' drive of several Grade 1 racecourses including Kempton, Sandown, Epsom and Lingfield, with Newbury being our local track.

Using the varying gradients of the Berkshire Downs to good advantage, Jockey Club Estates' Lambourn Training Grounds provide a wide array of training opportunities for our horses.

With a wide selection of turf and artificial gallops, our horses always have a safe surface to train on, whatever the weather. Horses can move across the gallops safely on an increasingly extensive system of horsewalks.

The majority of the facilities are located on Mandown Gallops, situated to the north side of Upper Lambourn. However, Jockey Club Estates manages the 6f Fibresand Gallop off Folly Road, within 10 minutes hacking distance of Felstead Court, which is an ideal gallop to use for horses in light work or those just coming back from a break.
