FELSTEAD COURT FLYERS
The advantage of our own Felstead Court Flyers syndicates is that all of your ownership administration and organisation is looked after by Joe and the Syndicate Manager, Alan Bright, leaving owners free to enjoy the finer side of being an owner – like a “glass of bubbles” on racedays!
Our syndicate horses are offered on a fixed cost basis allowing owners to budget for their commitment and be free from nasty surprises (bills)!! A minimum term of twelve months applies, at the end of the year we sit down with members to discuss whether to retain our horse in training or send it to the sales, with the return being equally divided amongst the owners.
"We make it absolutely clear to those buying into our syndicates that this is not an investment; it is a way to experience horse racing at an affordable price."
Regular updates on the progress of the horses are always available from Alan. Stable visits are organised and actively encouraged, along with breakfast mornings, newsletters, framed photographs, stable competitions and ,of course, days at the races!
WHO TOLD JO JO
Earlier this year the 4 year-old gelding, Who Told Jo Jo won twice in the space of nine days. First up at Yarmouth in April, over five furlongs, closely followed at Bath, again over the minimum trip. His Bath victory merited great applause for the fact that 'Jo Jo' ran at Newcastle the night before, and, after a brief roll in the paddock back home, he travelled down to Bath to win their last race!
The 3 year-old filly Lady Morel just got up in the shadows of the post to win by a neck over six furlongs at Brighton in September 2017. There were plenty of owners at the track that afternoon to share champagne with the trainer in the Winners Bar, as well as receiving a Cup from the race sponsor.
FIELD OF VISION
Our 2015 syndicate horse, Field of Vision, won his owners in excess of £70,000 and took them racing to some of the best UK racecourses including Newbury, “Glorious” Goodwood, Newmarket and even Ayr – very much a success story! So much so that the owners unanimously agreed to keep him in training during 2016 and 2017. This was a horse that had only cost £11,000 at the sales, with individual shares of £1,500 and monthly payments of £150 month (£3,300 for the year!!).
